Why You Should Use Trackbacks And How To Trackback Automatically

Posting to your blog regularly and consistently using Utility Posts, Video Utility Posts, Featured Linkbait Posts and Pre-Sell Posts is a great way to get indexed by the search engines and start getting traffic to your blog.

But as you’ll learn in the “Aim” section of the Ready-Load-Aim-Fire Formula… just posting to your blog is not enough. You need to promote your blog by getting as many links as possible pointing to your blog. And I’m going to show you a way to “kill two birds with one stone”!

We are going to use Trackbacks to both…

- Make a fast, high-quality Utility Post!
- And get links back to your blog!

So, what is a trackback?

A trackback is a way for blog owners to be notified when someone links to their site. Then they normally create a link back to the post that linked to them. Using Trackbacks can lead to high-quality links pointing to your post from their blog.

Here is an example…

Let’s say I make a utility post about a blog post someone else made and I link to their post. I could then find the Trackback URL on their post and insert the link into the Trackback field inside my Wordpress control panel when I make the post. This will notify the blog owner I linked to them, and if they accept my trackback I get a great link back to my post from their blog.

Unfortunately, doing this manually can be kind of a pain.
